Drive Too Far
02:17
|
|||
If we drive too far is it that much of a problem,
That much of a problem, that much of a problem?
If we drive too far is it that much of a problem,
That much of a problem, that much?
It’s that time of the summer, that time of the year
When your time becomes innocent, words become clear
And we find ourselves, stranded in space,
Crumbling down, falling in place
And we’ve never been certain, but neither have they
While we try to figure out why we love this place but
Even if we never figure it out
There are more roads to march and more words to shout, so
Take my hand, joints and all
Take a stand, just don’t fall
If we drive too far is it that much of a problem,
That much of a problem, that much of a problem?
If we drive too far is it that much of a problem,
That much of a problem, that much?
I see that you listen to what people say
When I listen at night it’s just tamed and behaved
But there’s always more criticism and more doubt
It just takes some time to figure it out, so
Take my hand, joints and all
Take a stand, just don’t fall
If we drive too far is it that much of a problem,
That much of a problem, that much of a problem?
If we drive too far is it that much of a problem,
That much of a problem, that much?

Like She Says She Does
03:08
|
|||
She left fast
She told you as your fingers clasped
Around her and that silent laugh
That says that she’s not done at last
She took time
To figure out your tactful mind
To mirror it and make it shine
So she could see it’s faults
Cause she don’t want you,
Like she says she does
Placing pebbles
For a train
She took your eyes
Took them and she covered them
Placed them back into your skull
You’ll never see the change
She’s got her gun
Got it in right between her ears
She’s waiting to release the shot
Bullet through your mind
Cause she don’t want you,
Like she says she does
Placing pebbles
For a train
Take your time,
Confessional is always hard,
Especially when it’s just not you
Standing in the booth
Cause she don’t want you,
Like she says she does
Placing pebbles
For a train
Cause she don’t love you,
Like she says she does
Placing pebbles
On the rails

Speakeasy
02:55
|
|||
I see you through your lighted windows
A person I have never met
You tell me as you turn the lights off
That things are as bad as they can get
You, you’re my speakeasy
In the night
My own prison,
Filled with light
It’s so simple
But it’s alright
Don’t tell me that you’ll be forgotten
When I spend every night with you
We’re learning to unlove each other
In our habits, in the things that we do
Because you, you’re my speakeasy
In the night
My own prison,
Filled with light
It’s so simple
But it’s alright

We Can Live This Way
03:15
|
|||
Unsentimental, but you fall so far each time
Tell me you’re sorry, so I know you’re still mine
I know that we can live this way
I know that we can live this way
You’ve got your problems, but in my mind they’re all me
There is that blurred line of self flattery
I know that we can live this way
I know that we can live this way
Tell me now,
That you’re coming,
That you’ve found what you do,
You’re not running
And I tried so hard to tell you,
That I’m lonesome
And I tried so hard to tell you,
What I need
Tell me now that we can live this way
Tell me now that we can live this way
Tell me now that we can live this way
Tell me now that we can live this way

Take It Down
04:46
|
|||
She stood as a ghost
In her light, in her light, in her light.
Floating through her force
Like a kite, like a kite, like a kite.
So take it down, the place she’s been going
Take it down, the place she belongs
Take it down, the place she’s been going
Take it down, the place she calls home
They say you’ve been caught
In an act, of defeat, of surmise
I say you’ve been brought
To a death by a pair of cold eyes
So take it down, the place she’s been going
Take it down, the place she belongs
Take it down, the place she’s been going
Take it down, the place she calls home
Take it down, take it down
Take it down, to the ground
Take it down, take it down
Take it down to the ground
She stood as a ghost
In her light, in her light, in her light.
Floating through her force
Like a kite, like a kite, like a kite.

Process Notes
03:06
|
|||
Structures held up, by those toothpick machines
It’s a shame they only make them for buildings and ravines
In New York City almost every building gets
Renovations to their stories, compensations as they drift
I’ll write the process notes to a suicide song
The words they hum along, without a sound
How effortlessly we can live our lives
We can slowly dive, to the ground
Metal can sparkle with a subtle, stolen sheen
Now I see them on my face all the lines in between
You say I’ve taken what you say and thrown it out
But I recognize psychosis and I don’t go down that route
I’ll write the process notes to a suicide song
The words they hum along, without a sound
Your words entangle me so flawlessly
Yet methodically, they still erase
I’ll write the process notes to a suicide song
The words they hum along, without a sound
I should feel different, but I’m not surprised
That your eyes look like they’ve won

Go With Grace
03:23
|
|||
We could go where no one’s travelled, bide our time
We could go where nothing’s missing, it’s alright, we’ve lost all pride
Oh, there must be more; you’ve made me go down there before
You’ll tell me as you take another sip
Oh, there must be more; I’ll tell you lies as you tell yours
The pavement is just asking you to trip
I always wonder if you’re lonesome, with your people, by the shore
I always wonder if it’s tiring, every time I ask for more
Oh, there must be more; you tell me tales as I’m counting fours,
Invincibly destructing what we have
Oh, there must be more; it grasps you, pulling to the floor
But nobody can tell me what it is
Oh, there must be more; I’ve waited long
I’m trying not to make it all up in my mind
Oh, there must be more; your own internal civil war
Of choices that you make before your time
Oh, there must be more; I’m trying hard but I can’t ignore
That everything blows up in your face
Oh, there must be more; everyone, everyone
They go, they go with grace

Sugar
02:54
|
|||
We’re laced together with a passion and a guilt
Because everytime I look at you I feel that I’m at fault
I’m trying to figure out if you even know my name
But you’re telling me it’s easy, cause we know it’s just a game
Cause you’re giving all our sugar to the neighbors
When they ask you to
Don’t say you love her just because she isn’t me
You’ve made choices, soundless voices, of how you want us to be
I’m running circles just to see what’s up your sleeve
It’s not funny, it’s not pretty, but it’s just how I will behave
Cause you’re giving all our sugar to the neighbors
When they ask you to
Hold on, hold on
It’s not easy playing games like this
Hold on, hold on
We just shouldn’t play our games like this
You’re just giving all our sugar to the neighbors
When they ask you to

Tangerines
03:24
|
|||
You ate tangerines
Reminding me, that spring is here
In some part of the globe
I took off my socks
Felt the wooden floor, beneath my heels
But you told me I’d get cold
Your peeling fruit
Is warning me, you’ve been here before
And I haven’t stopped to look
Your tired eyes
Are warning me, you’ve missed your sleep
And I haven’t stopped to care
So move closer
The place in all the grocery stores, you feel safe
So move closer
December can’t stop us, from your tastes
So move closer
The place in all the grocery stores, you feel safe
So move closer
December can’t stop us, from your tastes
You ate tangerines
Warning me, not to fail
Or I’d find myself like you
Dependant on a time
When everything is warmer, not like now
Sitting by the door
So move closer
The place in all the grocery stores, you feel safe
So move closer
December can’t stop us, from your tastes

We Take Our Time
04:06
|
|||
Eight years old she slipped a fountain,
Got all wet, to her, a mountain she climbed
Rode her bike through California,
Picked up fossils, drinking orange juice, passed time
Took up hobbies, took up reading,
Eight years old and she was keeping words safe
Jettison as she got older, from inside her windowed building, decay
We could walk, that'd be fine
We take our time, we take our sweet, sweet time, we do
We take our time, we take our sweet, sweet time, we do
Angles, patterns, lines, and doorways,
Summer mornings, they adore your sweet eyes
If you speak I'll see the music,
Trapped between your teeth as in a surprise
We could walk, that'd be fine
We take our time, we take our sweet, sweet time, we do
We take our time, we take our sweet, sweet time, we do
We take our time, we take our sweet, sweet time, we do
We take our time, we take our sweet, sweet time, we do
